NYC Schools Account

 NYC Schools Account - Access report cards, transportation, test scores and attendance.

 Setting up your child’s NYCSA account First you will go to schoolsaccount.nyc then follow the 

 instructions below.  

  1. Click on the first link on the list, number 1, Your Student ID and Password
  2. Click on the Student Account Self Service Link
  3. Enter your child’s OSIS ID (9-digit number) and Date of Birth as it is listed with the school office.
  4. Your child’s account name will appear, click Continue. The email address will be (your child’s account name) @nycstudents.net
  5. Set a password.

YWCA Flushing - Free English Classes


The YWCA in Flushing is now accepting enrollments for their free English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes. These classes provide an opportunity for individuals to improve their English language skills.

LaGuardia Community College - Free English & Job Training


The Center for Immigrant Education and Training at LaGuardia Community College offers free contextualized English classes and job training programs. This service includes career counseling and case management services for low-income Queens immigrants and their families.

Free English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Program

The English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program is designed to help the Queens community improve their English proficiency and cultural competence, key elements for a successful life in the United States. The program offers classes based on students’ individual language needs, from beginner (level 0) to advanced (level 5/6).

Program Details:

  • Eligibility: Open to all individuals 18 years and older, on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Class Cycles:
    • July - December
    • January - June
  • Class Times: Offered in both morning and afternoon sessions.
  • Cost: Free of charge.
  • Assessment: A free placement test will determine which level class is right for you.

How to Enroll: To enroll, you must take a placement exam. To register for the exam, contact the Adult Literacy Department at:

Online GED Prep by USA Hello

Completing this GED®/HiSet™ preparation class will help you be ready to earn your high school equivalency diploma. The diploma shows you have the same knowledge as someone who completed high school in the United States. This is a big accomplishment. Not only will you gain an education, but you will have better job choices.

Depending on what state you live in, the diploma will either be called a GED credential or a HiSet credential. Completing the four classes – Social Studies, Language Arts, Science, and Math – will prepare you for your exams.

These GED practice tests and preparation classes are online. You can take these classes on your phone or a computer. The classes are self-paced, so you can learn anytime.
